Description

Let's be real. This isn't the off-season to bring in vets for futures. Too many high cap, long contracts. Too few top line level players. It's time for Fletcher to be shrewd, and let the kids compete for open roles.

At TDL, sell JVR with 50% salary retained for futures. Secondary scoring is most marketable then. Also shop Sanheim and Provorov, and sell the one that nets the best return. Could retain 50% salary on Sanheim to juice the return further.

After JVR is dealt, Laczynski and Jackson Cates should compete for a shot at 4C, with Laughton sliding to LW.

Also, Hogberg or Zamula are worth a look at third pair LD after one of Sanheim or Provy goes.

Let Attard and York take their lumps with the big club all year. They have the talent.

That should be the move. Even then if you can get a good return for TK or Atkinson to get more picks and prospects and a better shot at Bedard or Michkov, I think the Flyers should absolutely take that
