    Why Blackwood?
    .892 save% this season
    And only a .902 save% last year

Most games he’s ever played in a season was 43,
so we don’t even know if he could hold up to a legit starter’s workload

    Pretty risky
Especially considering what you’re giving up

    I’d offer them Portillo
They can’t be happy with Blackwood after these past 2 crappy seasons
And he was drafted back in 2015
So they may be ready to just cut bait & take a good prospect

I really wouldn’t even wanna do that though really
Then again, i don’t have high hopes for Blackwood either

He has a good potentiel and is relatively young and a RFA after his deal expire. I really like him and I think he and UPL could be a good duo. Two years ago he posted a 0,915 save % in 47 games and I think he can return to those numbers with Buffalo.

Well with his last 2 years of sucky play,
why would u give anything that good for him?

Also, it’s risky af to go with him & UPL as our duo
Blackwood has been crap the last 2years,
    and UPL can’t stay healthy

Risking our entire next season on those 2 isn’t all that smart imo
Better have a backup plan (3rd goalie option)

An AHL Guy and a second round pick isn't that good when you are acquiring a 25 YO goalie with the upside to play 50 games per year at a really reasonnable cap hit. And nothing stop us to sign another goalie in case someone gets injured. Subban could be an option in that case.

    Subban isn’t an NHL goalie
Routsalainen at least played well this past season, even if it was in the AHL
Call me crazy, but I’ll take a guy who played well last year over a guy who hasn’t played well in 3years

And in absolutely no way is Blackwood worth a 2nd after back to back crappy years

Not only is it a very risky idea
But bc you’re overpaying, it’s a flat out bad idea
