Your trades are pretty solid, but the question I have is: why do you think McNabb is that much better than what Morrow would be if he got into the lineup? Morrow is younger, has more upside and is coming off a good postseason. When they get into games, they have about the same ATOI, so I don't get how you would trade Morrow and then bring in like the closest thing to him who's slightly better because he has 2 more years under his belt. I'd just take Morrow out of the trade and lower the pick to a 4th and then take McNabb off the board and get back our 3rd and it would make more sense to me.

On the plus side: I like Justin Williams, but not sure I'd give him over 3M if it's a multi year deal. I like your lines as well, especially the 4th line. Most people put Moore at C and Nash or Accari at LW, when neither Nash or Accari can handle that position. I think Bjork has a chance to crack the lineup which would make signing Moore a slight problem. I think 4th line is reserved for Beleskey unless he has a good camp. Even though I feel that way I still wouldn't mind it if we had to send Bjork down for some of the year and injuries happen, so signing Moore who's ancient, wouldn't be the worst thing at that price and term.

Everyones doing Krug McAvoy and Chara Carlo, but I think we might split the difference on that. I like Krug Carlo and Chara McAvoy better because it evens out the pairs a bit which would drop Charas minutes some. Chara and Carlo would have to play against the top line every night all the time and play 24+ minutes and everything, but if it was Krug and Carlo they'd probably handle 22 mins and wouldn't have to be pulled off the ice as soon as the other teams #1 line came out and Chara McAvoy could have less stress and also play 22 mins. That's just me trying to preserve Chara a bit, just incase he's thinking about 1 more year after this if we fail to win a cup. My pairs would add up to similar time for the 3rd pair as well as yours would... about 16 minutes, which we're coming full circle on this one because I think Joe Morrow can handle the 16 minutes, especially if you paired him with Kevan Miller or Adam McQuaid.... instead of his usual pair Collin Miller, who was also young and learning, so they made mistakes.

This was a solid mock and you got the majority of your logic put into this right, so I'm going to be generous and give you a full score 5.

Appreciate the 5 stars! I would have been ok with 4 with your feedback though!! haha

Understand your first point Morrow/McNabb. Honestly I don't know McNabb that well but he was a full time D where Morrow couldn't crack the lineup full time so I gave a little more value to McNabb. I like Morrow, but I'm not sure the consistency is there, good playoffs but in the regular season sometimes he looked lost. That being said I do like your option you mentioned too.

I personally think Williams is steal even at $3.5!! He is worth his money once you get into the playoffs!!! I'm not sold on Bjork making it out of camp. He was scratched in the WC this spring which makes me think his pro game isn't quite there yet, may need a year in Providence to experience the next level. He's a "keeper" obviously and we don't need to rush him! Moore is indeed great insurance. Great pro, and lethal on the PK! I also think Beleskey needs to be given one more shot at wing with a healthy Krejci or Backes. See if he can get his scoring touch back.

I am ok with your D switch, makes sense!

Thanks for the insightful feedback!!
