Idea For Trading Grubauer

Trade includes the rights to Nikita Tryamkin. VAN makes this trade because Miller appears to be signing with the Ducks. Demko doesn't appear to be part of their plans this year, so they go in on Grubauer who hasn't stumble as badly as some of the FA options. Orpik replaces Sbisa, or any other veteran D they opt to move before the beginning of the season. Orpik only has 2 years leave and there's no NMC, so they can flip him later if the option presents itself.

WSH entices VAN with the rights to Grubeauer in order to secure a salary dump in Orpik. The goalie market is flooded, so a 4th is also sent to replace the pick lost on Tryamkin now that he's back in Russia. He is playing in the KHL next season, but maybe a team with a few more Russian players can persuade him to come back (in 3 years). Biega comes in as an older right defender in case Bowey isn't ready to make the jump. He can also dress as a forward which adds some flexibility.
