Description

Flames will have just under 3m in cap after signing some RFAs (Bennett, Ferland, Lazar, Kulak). Jankowski has the best chance at slotting in to the bottom 6 either playing C or the wing.

Vanek plays both wings, and is a right handed shot, Quietly put up 48 points last season. I think with his age he makes some sense for the Flames to sign. Younger than both Jagr and Iginla (I'd love Jagr, but I just don't see him coming to Calgary-cold cold winters for him!).

There is also a chance Bart goes to the AHL and they audition some of the kids. The cap space remaining still allows that.

I think Stajan could go to a feeder if CGY retains some salary, but unless they don't need to give up a pick or prospect ,it may not make much sense early in the season).
