Description

New management doesn't take the risk of a long term extension with Jarry. They bet on Korpisalo and DeSmith for the beginning of the season before testing the goalie trade market.

- Compher is the big add. Sullivan can place him at 3C and move Granlund to 3RW if needed.
- Carter decides it's time to hang up the skates (placed under buyout since his cap hit will remain).
- Zucker deservedly gets one last long term contract elsewhere.
- One of Joseph and Smith becomes expendable with the free agent signing of Soucy. In this case, Joseph is traded to bolster the bottom-six.
- Maenalanen is added for more bottom-six depth. He's a penalty killer on Winnipeg's top five league ranked unit.
