Description
I don't see Sweeney making a bunch of moves before start of season.

One could be Spooner. If he gets awarded more than $2.75M/yr they decide to move him. Vegas is willing to take a risk at that salary/term.

I like the trade but lines are off for me. Beleskey is in no way fit to be a second line winger. Bjork will probably make the team over either Heinen or Cehlarik.

We need to try Beleskey there at the beginning to see if he can get back what he once had, he's still young, maybe just had an off year.

Bjork has no pro experience, Heinen and Cehlarik do. Bjork has shown some attitude issues, he needs to get drilled in to the system in Providence for a year, teach him how to be pro......or he'll end up gone like Seguin.

HAven't heard about Bjork being an issue. I like Beleskey on the 2nd line to start the year though, give him a shot.

I doubt Vegas would give up a 2018 2nd round pick when they only have one. They'd more likely give up one of their 3 2019 2nd's because they have a better chance to compete that year.

Someone said Cehlarik is injured, so he may not be ready.

I always give you crap for Backes at C and will continue to do sosmile He's one of the slowest 30 forwards in the league IMO. Doesn't have the legs to cover the slot at both ends of the ice.

It was said he looked bored at Development Camp. That is a sign he thinks he's too god to be there. He may come into camp expecting a LW slot is his. A little over-cocky I'd say. Lets see how main camp goes. IMO, Heinen and Cehlarik and even DeBrusk are ahead of him in pecking because they have adapted well to the pro game so far.

Ok change the Vegas pick. We will get something for him, negotiate for the best. Maybe another team out there offers a 2nd rd pick!?!?

Cehlarik had surgery yes, Sweeney said rehab is on schedule for him to be at main camp and compete.

Backes is not as slow as you think. And his hockey IQ makes up for a little less speed. He has 2 speedy wingers to help him out. He loves being at C, let him play there, we will get the most out of him if he loves it.
