Description
I'm hoping this is an interesting read and that I did better than last time.

For the 2019 Season the Bruins culture shifts from a energy producing 4th line into a scoring type 4th line because of the mass depth of skill players we've amassed.

With all that influx of talent, we pick up the pace and transition towards the future of the NHL game.

We do reserve some traditional 4th liners, who come in handy in the playoffs. When someone gets hurt, one of the starting 4th liners moves up and the void he leaves is filled by either Kurally, Accari, Blidh or Gabrielle, aka the traditional 4th line group.

As for the defense. Our players have grown so Krug McAvoy isn't a liability anymore.
Zboril Carlo is a rock solid physical shutdown pairing that draws the other teams top competition. Zboril earn's the nickname "Little Z" his rookie year, as opposed to Chara who was "Big Z"

The 3rd pair graduated from the AHL and is ready for the big show. O'Gara can play his off side well and Grzelyck can shine with a DFD partner like O'Gara.

Lauzon will eventually pass one of them, but for this year he plays the Joe Morrow "press box" role, until injuries come. Lindgren and Trent Frederic and the other prospects that are younger are still in the AHL honing their skill sets.

Backes, Krejci and Krug are all trade candidates. We'll see if we can find the right deal, but for now I'm not going to predict any because of the way it comes off when you, (the reader) takes it in. It would suggest that I think I could pinpoint the exact deal we're going to get over 2 years from now, which I'm absolutely positive I cannot. In a couple years I will make mocks like that, but for now let's just call them all eligible to be traded.

We don't have much cap space, but we don't need any. Our 4th line skill players are our trade deadline acquisitions, as they can step up and play bigger roles.

The contracts to Carlo and McAvoy are 3 years deliberately. The general rule between being an RFA and a UFA is having 7 years of NHL experience under your belt or being 27 years old. In this mock they aren't 27 yet and their contracts would expire on the 6th year of NHL service, so they would be Restricted Free Agents for us and we could crank out a 7 or 8 year deal at that time, once we have better insight to what they really are as a player and how much money we should give them.

The Last 2019-2020 Mock I did received a 1 Star Rating, so I'm hoping you guys like this one a bit more. Thanks for reading.

    1. Miller, Kevan
    Additional Details:
The role players who have received too much money and term will be traded. Beleskey got moved to a contender and so did Kevan Miller. Ottawa secures his services 2018-2019 in order to lessen the load on Erik Karlsson. Miller can play as the #4 - #6 Defenseman on either side, so he's got some value. The Bruins use the deal to integrate some new faces on the back end.
    3.
    BOS
    1. 2020 4th round pick (ANA)
    Additional Details:
The Bruins get out of Beleskey's contract a year and a half early and get paid to do it because Beleskey has proven that 2016-2017 was an injury filled fluke. They might be able to get more at this point, but take the first avenue presented and move him out to gain playing time for still developing players.
    ANA
    1. Beleskey, Matt ($800,000 retained)
    Additional Details:
Beleskey goes back to Anaheim at the 2018-2019 Deadline in exchange for a mediocre pick. Beleskey got passed by Cehlarik, DeBrusk and Kurally on the depth chart which made him expendable. He played 40ish games and scored 15ish points to that point. Anaheim is just looking for a depth winger and they have cap space from losing Cogliano as a UFA and passing on re-signing Vermette. They gladly take Beleskey who only has 1 year remaining on his contract and they ask for 800,000 retention because that's what they spent on Cogliano the year before for a solid middle 6 winger.

Was hoping to see Special teams too!!

Ok only a couple things really.

Blows my mind we could get that much for Spooner????? I would have been happy with the 2018 2nd rd!!
I think Lauzon will be ahead of O'Gara and Grzelcyk

Other than that, all good! (Not sure how you came up with all those signing amounts 2 years from now though)

L.A. plans on being a playoff team and finishing somewhere around pick 50-60. To me a 2nd rounder isn't just always equal to a 2nd rounder, it depends the team you trade it to and the likelihood of where they finish. I'd say Spooner is worth the 35th to 40th pick in next years draft, considering he's an average 40 point center. Those extra picks are delayed years, which makes them less value then they actually appear. A 4th in 2019 would be like a 5th in 2018 and a 6th in 2020 would be like a late 7th in 2018 to me, so they aren't holding a ton of value.

Lauzon very well could have made it above the other defensemen.

The signings are generic. Carlo gets slightly more than Trouba got because it's 3 years instead of 2. McAvoy gets a higher offer after playing top pair minutes. Heinen Cehlarik and Vatrano all get the same deal that's in-between the two types of deals I see for them. I didn't know who to actually pay with a 2M+ deal and who to give a 2way 925K contract to out of them, so I just shot in the middle. They all have a chance to do good or poor. JFK gets in as the 3rd C as early as this coming year and theres not really a replacement for him unless Frederic takes his spot.
