This is what I would've done with Panarin. It allows the hawks to keep Hjalmarsson while also getting a young D-man in McCabe. Let me know what you guys think.

Instead of having Saad as your top line left wing, you have Schmaltz who had great Chemistry with Toews and Panik at the end of last season.
Trading Panarin for a much young cost controlled D-Man is what the Hawks needed, and also getting a solid 3rd line scoring center will provide them with center depth they haven't had since 2015 after getting Vermette

Acquiring Girgensons and signing him to a contract gives the Hawks great center depth, and McCabe gives the Hawks a young D-Man on the blue line they desperately need.

As for Buffalo, they have Eichel, Reinhart, and O'Reilly already has center options, but desperately need that top line left wing. E. Kane is not that, he is better suited as a second liner.
