Zadina won't clear unconditional waiver until later today, that's why he's not listed as a UFA yet.

Flames pass on this deal, not interested n 3 years of Leddy. Also if the rumor of the deal the Flames and Pens were working on at the draft is any indication (1st, Pickering & Poulin), a Hanifin deal is more likely to look like the one we saw for Dubois. Based on that rumor, an offer of Bolduc, Snuggerud and a 1st would be closer, w/ Scandella coming as well as the cap dump.

Thats way to much for 1 year of Hanifin. I might do Bolduc but not snuggy. Scandella isnt a cap dump. He is still pretty effective as a 3rd pair D when healthy. The problem with him on the blues is that he does pair well with CP55. But he cant come close to the 23 minutes that 55 plays

I'm pretty sure any Hanifin trade is going to include an extension, or we'd have moved him before July 1.

If they ask to much though they risk losing him for nothing in free agency next summer. Teams will only give up so much.

well we have a season to trade him though, so yeah the price is high, worst case we move him at the deadline for picks, and based on what other defensemen have returned, he'd pretty easily get a 1st and a couple 2nds, one of which may even get bumped up to a first if his new team goes far enough in the playoffs
