Description
Bring in Tatar on a PTO, see how the bottom of the lineup shakes out in camp and what the cap space looks like, then give him the remainder on a one-year deal to play with Pastrnak and re-establish his value. Far too effective to still be available, but cap space is scarce around the league and there are far worse places to play one season on a show me deal than Boston.

Can’t really see any possible way that Lauko starts instead of Greer.

I don’t think Tatar will sign a TFD.

Really? Greer is turning 27 this season and only has about 100 NHL games to his credit. This season he had 12 points in 61 games/556 minutes (.022 points per minute) and for every five minutes he spent on the ice he spent a minute in the box. In contrast, Lauko is 23 and had 7 points in 23 games/204 minutes (.034 points per minute) and also had more hits and takeaways relative to time on ice and did so without getting in penalty trouble. You can also tell just by watching that he is faster and more skilled. Greer's greatest asset is his cap hit and he is a great bench option for that reason, but Lauko should absolutely be given a starting opportunity before Greer. I would make the same case for a handful of other prospects as well.

Agree 100%. Greer will only see ice time if absolutely needed

You have drastically undervalued Bergeron, underpaid Swayman and gave Frederick too much term. I like the idea of Tatar with Pasta and Zacha but he most likely goes to another contender for that price. You’d have to deal Forbort or Grzelcyk to get the money to work out. You might get Stasny to sign for one mill if Bergeron or Krejci hang up their skates!

Proof that this team doesnt work with Forbort on the roster
