Description

Opening day roster. Players in Taxi Squad are "Paper" assignments to Laval. This allows to the Habs to maximize in LTI with CP31, allowing them maximum cap space. Afterwards, they can call them back up again for GM1 puckdrop.

Ideally GMKH will want to move a waiver exempt salary or two (DeSmith/Allen or possibly Armia) to make it easier, but he can do it without another trade.

Waiver exempt player such as Wideman, DeSmith, Armia, and Kovacevic, if needed, could then be placed on waivers once the season starts to open the roster spots needed.

I really don't see another "Monahan" type deal happening this year, at least not in the offseason.

That's best case scenario if Desmith is still on roster. Doesn't get any better than $13,750 under cap to maximize Price's in-season LTIR.
