I was about to say that.

The deal is totally fair.

But from a "human" standpoint, we JUST acquired Pearson. So shipping him immediately is a bit awkward.
Also, Pearson brings other stuff in his game that the Habs lack compared to an overpaid winger that fails to deliver on his contract (Anderson, Gallagher, etc)

Another thing is that Mantha being UFA at end of season, along with being a local guy, it would be seen as another awkward move to trade him after 2/3 of the season, at the Trade Deadline, which I assume the Habs are looking to do with Pearson.

However, with all that being said, your trade value seems reasonable.
