Description
The tank must go on. Season's just started, but I suspect Mike will use this season to continue building the Sharks' farm system and shifting vets for picks.

At the time of this post, I suspect the players most likely to be traded come TDL are Benning, Barabanov, and Duclair. I know there's speculation regarding Couture's future as well but I think a trade involving him will most likely occur during the offseason. There will be more cap space available and we'll have a clearer picture of what team Cooch could be looking for, so he is not being moved for this ACGM.
Trades
1.
SJS
  1. 2024 3rd round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
Florida needs depth in the blueline and Benning's contract would be affordable for them.
2.
SJS
  1. Driedger, Chris
  2. 2024 1st round pick (SEA)
  3. 2024 2nd round pick (SEA)
Additional Details:
Duclair and 3rd for Seattle's 1st. Taking on Driedger's contract for 2024 2nd.
SEA
  1. Duclair, Anthony
  2. 2025 3rd round pick (SJS)
3.
SJS
  1. 2024 2nd round pick (NYR)
  2. 2026 3rd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Something is telling me that the Rangers will be looking for a mid 6 winger to set up goals come deadline day. Hence this humble suggestion.

I think rangers would be interested in Duclair too. They only have roughly $3m to work with at TDL

Could probably get better for bargain bin Benning. Hes a very underrated player for super cheap. Also sold too low on Barbs. Overall less than fair for Sharks

Duclair to the rangers makes more sense, but I think we have his value to high there (2nd and 3rd or 4th should be reasonable) Barbi is looking like he is primed for a good season and likely would get 2 2nds IMO. Benning for a 3rd seems reasonable given his great contract!

I think 1sts will be hard to come by IMO sharks just don’t have rentals who we can justify getting a 1st for unless some guys pop off (like Barbi and Duclair) my other thought is if Duclair and Barbi have seasons worthy of a 1st return, wouldn’t it be more logical to keep them and resign them???

I mean I think they both could be a good fit. Maybe Duclair more because of his speed to help play against Devils and Canes. But I can’t see NYR extended them, they would be purely rentals…unless they move on from Laffy in the off-season
