Because I’d much rather give a shot to a WBS guy and/or employ a role player who can kill penalties and provide some grit over a washed up, soft skill guy who at this point in his career would be on par with Danton Heinen. (The king of doing nothing particularly well.)

I love Phil, but that time has rightfully passed. At this point I’d rather have a guy that can play their role well, even if that role is simply forechecking, applying pressure, and penalty killing.
