the contender title was a bit tounge in cheek but so far this year they have shown that they are at least in contention to make the playoffs and if they are in that position they should absolutely try to make the team better. Also IDK what you're talking about with Zadorov, his entire MO is that his defensive results have been consistently good his entire career.
