Hanifin isn’t signing with the leafs lol he’s said several times he wants to play in the states only leafs aren’t playing Minten on the 4th line and Cowan makes the team next year

Although I love Cowan, I can't imagine him playing on this team next year. Even if the skill level is there, he'll only get limited bottom-six opportunity just based on how the rest of the roster looks heading into next year. I'm pretty sure it would burn an extra year of his elc, too. Just let him dominate the OHL and bring him in for the playoffs, similar to how Knies contributed last year.
