At least this way of buying addresses the needs of the team.
Without sacrificing the strongest prospects. So if to buy I rather they do something like this.

Caps pass ... your an in-division rival asking for retention on one of the caps best trade pieces and a prospect that may turn into a bottom-pair NHLer. In exchange, your offering 30 year old Brodzinski, career AHLer Jones, and a 2025 likely late 1st round pick. Did I miss anything?
