Why would Philly do either of these trades? The Blues one isn't horrible value but we don't need any more defenseman and adding Vrana and scratching Forester doesn't help the rebuild. Now I wouldn't hate the Elvis deal, except he hasn't been great and has 3 more years at $5.4M. Zero chance Philly commits to that deal.

No worries, I can respect that. But for Philly they aren't parting with futures for anything other than young players with term. I could see a deal where Philly sends Sandstrom somewhere for another goalie, but not one with that much term. IMO, if the the Jackets want to move Elvis they will be the ones sending the draft picks.
