Description
If we fall out of the playoffs by deadline time, we should seriously look at selling pending UFAs.

Call up Edvinsson for the rest of the year with Gost gone. Partner with Maatta on the third pair, Maatta on his off side which he has played a bit before.

Berggren gets full time top 6 minutes for the rest of the year.

Would prefer to see what Mazur could offer at the NHL level on the wing with Copp and Veleno. Kasper has been playing great but I think he's best suited getting second line minutes at Grand Rapids to keep growing his game.

I think Kane would replace Perron taking the A for the wings. While the offer is nice, I think keeping him is worth more value for the team and its young players rather than moving him. But i might regret saying that because the wings can use those picks to flip for a goalie like swayman

@Sharktank

For your post that was deleted.

I wanted to sell at the deadline, really wish we did.

No not time to start questioning Yzerman, he's only been in the job for 5 years. Look at where this team was and where it is now. In 5 years, we went from one of the worst teams in the league to fighting for a playoff spot.

Holland only hit on maybe one pick in the last five years. Veleno and Rasmussen are NHLers but not up to their draft position. Maybe Veleno I guess. Basically nothing for prospects to start and a bunch of bad contracts.

Compared to other teams that rebuilt, and didn't win the draft lottery to get a superstar, we seen to be ahead.

Second year of Lalonde, team has improved with him behind the bench, why change that?

It takes time to draft and develop players and although I question some of the draft moves, we have done alright drafting, maybe not the best but how do you know.

I think they miss the playoffs but it's been a nice refresh watching this team this year. They looked like they were having fun this season, next year hopefully is better.

It's just disappointing.

Red Wings are my 2nd team and it was fun seeing them win and pissing people off.

Now those mouth breathers are going to be enjoying the Red Wings demise.

I'm a big Yzerman fan and I realize Holland left this team in an absolute train wreck.

It's not all Newsy's fault but he has to accept some blame.

The entire coaching staff too.

For a team with so many vets why are they so bad defensively?

Why do they get out worked each game?

A good team shouldn't throw in the towel just because they lost their best player for a couple of weeks.

They can't even win 1 game?

Are they really that fragile?

I don't know what's up in that room but damn.

They were also getting really really lucky to start the season. For a better part of the season they were the second most penalized team, also they had the second highest shooting percentage. We are seeing those penalty taking skills in full effect tonight.

A lot of their players are offense first players. They also don't hit. We need some defensive forwards that are physical, that would be a start.

Seems like they are also trying to make difficult plays instead of simple ones. Also just other poor decisions as well.

I just watched Perron give the pick away and lolly gag back, Buffalo just killed more time.

Ugh the effort.
