Description
- Modeled the McD trade after the Yandle deal. Mac is immediately a 1st or 2nd line defensemen on the Bruins. With the acquisition of Holden, Grzelcyk is the odd man out, similar to John Moore in the Yandle trade
- NSH has plenty of prospects to spare and there's just no chance the Rangers get Tolvanen or Fabbro, but Novak has been filthy for U of Minn and the Rangers love their Minnesota prospects.
- I like Desh going to Carolina because Josh Jooris is garbage and it's a small enough trade that provides some help for a playoff push as well not mortgaging the future.
- Miller to WPG makes sense for both sides. WPG just got shafted by Brassard and they'll be looking to add to their team next season. I don't think Miller can get a 1st, but a 2nd and a blue chip prospect seems possible imo.
- SJ is known for making big splashes and making some ballsy move. They tried to go all in for Stamkos back in the day. I see them saying **** the future and let's try to get Jumbo Joe a cup. Zucc would be huge for them, especially if Zucc and Joe are dealing apples to Burns and Pavs all season long. If anything, that trade should include more being sent to the Rangers.

Yes to McDonagh deal for me. Feel like that’s a steal from Boston’s POV

It really depends on if they win the Cup or not. It'll be similar to Yandle. They won't resign McD but they'll have two runs at the cup with him. If they don't win the Cup, then it was a pointless trade. If they do, then they become the winners. I also have a soft spot for Donato after the Olympics so maybe thats why I value him so highly

Yeah just from everything I’ve heard about mcD’s price it seems like a steal, and as for Donato i think dons high on him too, his stock has sky rocketed after his Olympic performance. Personally don’t think don is gonna do much come Monday as much as i want him to make a splash. He won’t do anything until the summer i think
