I like the basis of the Weber trade -- Liljegren -- but I would think one other front-line prospect or high pick will be needed. Martin, Brooks and Timashov aren't that attractive. The obvious ask will be Kapanen. So Kapanen and Liljegren and, maybe, a pick of some sort.

Florida deal is excellent. Couldn't expect more than that for Max.

Sorry, can't see Florida making that deal. That's a player, two prospects and a #1. Max is great, but not that great. That's a Weber-like haul. That said, I agree with my friend above that more quality/fewer players is needed in a deal for Weber.

I wish all Montreal posters Weber to Toronto would just stop!!!! Yes Babcock loves Weber, . . . . or who Weber was! Yes he fits a need. . . . . BUT. . . Weber is going to be 33 at the start of next season, coming off an injury, on a ridiculus contract (term and $), and would totally handcuff the Leafs cap management going forward. Taking back 10%, while still looking for top prospects and picks is a bit of a joke! NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN! Toronto's GM is named Lou. . . . Not Bergevin or Chiarelli!
