Description
In a perfect world. I think Flames will be targeting some high end wingers this off-season while trying to offload a D man. Brodie likely has best value/interest to move. Flames will want to keep Hamilton. Would prefer to move Stone, but will opt to move Brodie for more value.

Graubauer signed to back up/take over the starting role of Smith. Gillies can back up Holtby who is having a great playoff run.

Need to add more to get Burakovsky and Grubauer, maybe add Fox or Phillips?
Love the idea of going after him! The Caps are going to be in cap trouble and probably can't afford him and Grubauer.
Only thing I don't like is signing both Neal and JVR. You only really need one. Save some cap that way.

Evander Kane just got 7 years at $7m, JVR is going to cost that much or more to sign. James Neal will also get $6m+ in the UFA market. I also think you would have to go $3m+ to re-sign Grubauer.

Smith will be gone next year, cap will go up a bit as well. I think Stone would also be let go. But certainly have to be cautious.

That Evander Kane deal is SO SO SO bad....One difference is Kane had a good playoffs. JVR didn't. And Neal is older, but I think you may be right in saying both would get north of 6M. Grubauer I wouldn't say gets 3m. I think he'd take a 1-2 year extension take over for Smith, then cash in big after that.
