The trades aren't too bad, I think that Hamonic sticks around though, he was a big piece that Treliving picked up and now that they missed the playoffs I'm sure he is feeling a little pressure to perform and any return that we get for Hamonic is not equal to the 1st and 2 2nd's we have away for him. Nice looking line up though.

you are going to have to pay Carlson almost double that.

Agree, overall looks pretty good, but probably $7.5mm/7yrs for Carlson. Also, I would try to trade Stone for a 2/3 pick, and likely put Bennett with Backlund and Frolík. In addition I’d sign Wotherspoon and give him a rotating 7D spot. 4 Stars!

I like your thought on Wotherspoon and have often thought the same thing, but with him being a UFA and understanding how deep Calgary is I think he will probably look for work else where, I think that 7th d man spot is exactly why Treliving signed Golebouf last season.

Detroit's not giving up the #36 pick for that garbage, And John Carlson gets at least 7 years $56 million and James Van Riemsdyk 6 years $36 million you're not even close on either deal.
