      I wouldn't do that if I was Dubas. The Leafs are fine on the left side with Reilly and Dermott, they need an RHD so they probably won't make this

      Can they afford to keep him? Klefbom would slot into Top 4 L side D, and Gardiner could be traded for RHD

      I can't see Dubas trading Nylander at all unless the return is either a top winger, or a top defense. He's probably an untouchable, and why would we need future assets if we are trying to win now?

      If you pay Matthews 11.5, Marner 9 and nylander 7 mill, 27. mill in 3 players spell cap hell for TML future, the draft picks insure there is a proper overlap in players/development. So when Matthew and Marner are in year 4-5 of their contracts, a new wave of up and coming player fill in the "Value contract" roster spots

      How could Edmonton afford Nylander? Mcdavid and Draisaitl is both getting paid a combined 21 mill. and Darnell Nurse's contract is ending this summer.
