Description

This is what I think the pens are going to use for line combos. These are just ideas and not to confirm by any means.

Forwards
Line 1- Guentzel-Crosby-Sprong
This line isn't used for defense at all. Guentzel has amazing chemistry with Crosby, and Sprong has shown flashes, I see Sprong having a chance to prove himself on the 1st line with Crosby.
Line 2- Hagelin-Malkin-Kessel
This line was great this last year so why change it?
Line 3- Rust-Brassard-Hornqvist
This line is a bit more of an experiment then the other lines this line provides good offense with decent defense.
Line 4- Cullen-Sheahan-Simon
The only thing that will stay the same is Sheahan will be the center and really 4 players can the the wings for him. I just chose Cullen and Simon because I'm just more familiar with them.

Defense
Pair 1- Dumoulin-Letang
This has been the top pair for a few seasons and will not change until the injury bug happens.
Pair 2- Maatta-Schultz
This pair I really like, so let's keep that way.
Pair 3- Johnson-Oleksiak
This is where I see Johnson fitting in, Oleksiak is a steady bottom pairing guy and Johnston is an interesting case to say the least.

Power Play Units
Unit 1- Malikn-Crosby-Kessel
Hornqvist-Schultz
This was the best power play in the league last year, you can place either Schultz or Letang on this unit if you wish.
Unit 2- Guentzel-Brassard-Sprong
Maatta-Letang
I chose the 3 best offenive players remaining and the on of Letang or Schultz or doesn't make the first unit. Maatta is the best offensive defenseman remaining though this spot could be Johnson's.
