Description
Well, the title didn't give it away?
If the Devils want Patches this is closer to what I think it'll cost.
Trades
MTL
  1. 2019 1st round pick (NJD)
  2. 2020 2nd round pick (NJD)
Additional Details:
Rights to Jeremy Davies - 2019 pick is conditional on NJD resigning Patches. If not, Habs get a 2019 second. So it's a prospect and 2 seconds for Max

For anyone going "who? who?", here:

A offensively talented LHD who blocks shots from Montreal coming off a career NCAA year? Yes please.

We're not the ones creating Max deals, the neutral people are.

Yeah, I know.

But I really like the look of this kid. Plus he's from Montreal so he's probably worth major cash from a marketing point of view - these are businesses, after all. And if Taylor Hall has anything less than another career year, the pick in 2019 might be a good one.

The Habs have a real quantity over quality issue at left D. It's why a guy still in school might be appealing - they don't have to sign him right off and can let him develop over time. Maybe others will - Mete/Reilly come to mind - but one more quality guy in the system won't hurt.
