Description

Deadline deals with the assumption that Michael Stone is unable to return to action and is moved to LTIR.
Toronto gets a young, puck moving defenseman with a low cap hit in exchange for a forward they will be unable to sign.
Calgary trades 2 first rounders to LA, plus a roster player (Mangiapane) and a prospect (Phillips), but gets this years second back from LA, really just dropping the first round pick 2 or 3 spots. LA gets faster, Calgary gets an upgrade, experience, and size on defense and replaces Kylington.
Smith waives his M-NTC to get a chance to play a minimum of 20 of the last 30 games in a hope he can sign one last contract before retiring. Howard gives the Flames a proven NHL goalie having a good season on a bad team, with a great chance to win a cup. He signs a 1 day deal at the end of his career to retire as a Wing.

The roster is the one the Flames will take into the playoffs.
