Nashville fan says now. We are finally not in a rebuilding mode. We would not trade away a top 4 D-man under a great contract for future assets. I would be surprised if any other Preds fans liked your trade.

Never in million years would Stars accept that trade. So huge overpayment for second pair d-man. If Preds wants Heiskanen, they'll should start with Ekholm, and add a first and a decent prospect, and even that wouldn't be enough.

Thats the only thing that is stopping this trade and I also dont want them to even think about selling anyone cus im rooting for them in the SCF, i just like ekholm with the stars cus I think he would look cool in a stars jersey and the thought of a swedish super defense pair of ek and kling was too irresistable

Do you even watch preds games ekholm has as many points as josi and subban they all have 20 except ekholm with 19 and all play 25+ minutes his play is just quieter and less "out there" I dont regularly watch the preds cus im in NY but i know on any team except nashville hes a first pair d-man plus theyre a division rival so that requires overpayment and theyre going for it all so that requires even more overpayment and hes on IMO the best contract in the NHL so that requires EVEN more overpayment plus dallas is going for it too that makes heiskanen a bit more expendable than the untouchable status he should have

Actually no, I don't watch Preds' games. But as a Finnish citizen, I have seen quite a lot of Heiskanen's games, and boy he's so good. Dallas did the right thing by giving him a year in Finland, finding his game and gaining some experience in the men's league. Currently, he is probably the best d-man in Finnish League, and if he can keep his level when he comes to the NHL, there's one hell of a player for any team. As far as I'm concerned, he has the same kind of potential than Karlsson had when he was younger. Ekholm would be a really great reinforcement, with great contract, for any team, but as I have said, Heiskanen is just way too good to be given away. Especially to a division rival.
