Would rather leave poehling to finish his ncas career than to pull him out of school early and potentially stunt his growth. The weber tRade seems to hevil favor vancouver.

Rookie contracts can have a base salary maxed out just under 1M$ (925k? 950K?) I just used a round number of 1M$.

If you really want to get technical, the base salary plus the performance bonus' that a rookie can make can top out at something in the neighborhood of 3.75M$ (if you see MacDavid's contract as an example).

On the Habs, McCarron, Scherbak and Juulsen currently have contracts that have bonus' that get them more than 1M$. First round picks usually get contracts that end up costing the team more than 1M$.
