Description

Calgary trade. Gives Calgary the picks they moved for getting hamonic. Gives them a potential high pick in a deep draft and also a second they are missing. They’re also gaining a depth player who can play both wings. A decent prospect in jones to. I believe the oilers would love to get a RHD puck moving d man like Hamilton.

Montreal trade. I find this trade to be interesting and fair. With the emergence of nurse play it pushes Russell to play bottom minutes but in Montreal he could be paired with Weber as he’s a good skater and puck mover. (Oilers just have to many LHD) also gives Montreal a #1 centre in RNH as he proved this year he can play good defence and offence. I also believe he can play even better and excel with true #1 centre minutes as I believe Tavares will be staying in Long Island. Sorry habs fans haha

Vegas trade. Gives Vegas a young physical RHD they can work with and the oilers stock up on a pick

Habs fan here, I actually really like that trade. The only thing that would make me hesitant would be that Galchenyuk would turn into a monster beside Drasital or Mcdavid (Maybe).
It addresses MTL's first line center problems and gives us some much needed new D-corps.
