Not enough. It's going to include Barrie + Ottawa's 1st + Compher/Kerfoot + probably Timmins

No chance it involves Timmins IMO. Timmins, Makar both on the untouchables list with Jost, Mackinnon and Rantanen. Can't see Kerfoot being included either. Think Compher is a good fit but still think if Avs can get Soderberg involved in the trade they should. Almost a like for like in cap with the retention of salary from OTT and allows Jost and Kerfoot to move to the top 6/9 permanently instead of either rotting on the 4th line.

I agree with Koppa. Requires way more especially with Ottawa retaining 2.25 Mill! Ottawa may take back Soderberg only if they retain nothing on Ryan as his contract is garbage.

Something along the line of Karlsson and Ryan (no salary retention) for Barrie, Ott 2018 1st, Soderberg, Kerfoot and Col 2019 1st (Lottery protected) for this deal to happen at the deadline. Dorion is holding out for a massive haul or not doing the trade IMO

In order to get Karlsson, it's going to hurt a little. Doubt you get him without including Timmins. I agree, Makar is off limits, but if you're not including him, the other pieces have to be a little sweeter. Can't just toss Ottawa scraps and expect them to take it. The whole point of them moving Ryan is to free up cap space, and with retention and sending back Soderberg, it's practically even for a couple years. They're looking at rebuilding/hitting the cap floor because Melnyk is such a prick. Soderberg doesn't fit the bill for them.

Word is that EK wants an expedited end to all of this, and he'll get more for him now than he'll be able to at the draft. Two years of playoff EK is worth way more than just one year. Then he's just a rental. Can't really hold out at this point
