We have no winger depth. We have tons of cap space to use. having a older scoring winger as a stop cap is not a bad idea.
It doesn't hinder the team and he could be flipped at a deadline for more picks and prospects.
Also he plays with both Rykov and Igor Shestyorkin currently and could help bring them over when there contracts are up

Stop with this Kovalchuk crap it goes completely against everything Gorton is trying to do.........and I thought the Kovy crap would have ended after the last time this BS rumor came about
