| | - | | #1 across the board on every scouting list, it’s pretty unanimous at this point, very easy pick for Montreal as they need D. |
| | - | | One thing to keep an eye on is where Zadina/Svechnikov will be in the rankings near draft time, because it seems like the two snipers are head to head in comparison after Dahlin. Detroit picks the better all around player in Svechnikov, in hopes that he can play with his older brother; who they’ve already drafted in 2015. |
| | - | | Buffalo have 2 apparent needs coming into the draft LHD and depth on the wings. Buffalo picks an actual need in Tkachuk as a LW, the American had good showings in the WJC that put questions about his scoring to rest. Tkachuk had some playing time with Sabres’ Blue chip prospect, Mittelstadt. |
| | - | | The Coyotes have plenty of depth up front to hold it down right now, so they look at A RD. This upcoming season they’re in jeopardy of losing OEL, their best Dman, so they select one now. Some may argue Boqvist might be the pick, but I think Bouchard seems so much more of a Yotes pick. They love their Knights, he’s on pace to break 80 points as a Dman, who can defend. He has a big frame and the only nock may be his skating. reminds me a lot of how Sergachev plays when he was drafted. |
| | - | | I don’t think Sens will select an offensive RD in Boqvist, but will try to obtain a Dman some other way. For now they take Zadina, which ultimately gives them leverage on trading away players like Hoffman in hopes of reliable D. A sniper with a dynamic scoring ability, terrific shot and speed. |
| | - | | Two players Benning could eye at 6 is Boqvist and Dobson needing a RD. Ultimate Benning takes another Swedish player to add to the pile and support a need. He’s a dynamic, offensive threat on the blue line, with high IQ, a wicked shot and passing skills. |
| | - | | With what’s left, Oilers look at two players, Wahlstrom and Dobson, both supporting a need. I personally would trade the pick for more assets (2 late 1sts, 2nd)? But instead they select a player with an elite shot and release, A big frame with high hockey IQ, not fast, but not slow, good skating and all around play. |
| | - | | The Rangers select a RD who is a good all around player with nice IQ and playmaking ability, his skating is good for a player with his frame, supporting a tremendous need on RD, he should excel with the Blue Shirts. |
| | - | | With two apparent future needs and a stacked center depth, they go for a LD or winger. They drafted a RD in Jokiharju, who is a WHL Dman, I think they draft another, but LD. Ty Smith is a Duncan Keith modeled Dman, do it all, with offensive instincts, on pace for a 75+ point season. |
| | - | | This is the best possible thing to happen to Florida. They get to draft a Florida boy who supports a need. In the end may soon be paired up with Ekblad as a pair. Hughes is an elite offensive force, with minor defensive holes and size, a year in college is probably for the best. |
