Honestly since we signed Anderson, I can see Bratt being in the AHL next year, I'm worried about that. I'm also worried that JQ might not being able to make the jump next year, personally if he can't make this team next year I think it's time to ship him out. But McLeod + Bastian + Sissons + Seney + Studenic + Speers all killing it in the A is not a bad thing at all. Feed the farm babayyyy

For a roster that you didn't make trades or sign anyone this is a pretty decent roster. I don't think you'll see Boyle at that #4 center soot next season so JQ can take that. A lot of young talent, training camp would be interesting to watch.

I agree with you, I could see JQ or McLeod (maybe) taking that #4C role and moving boyle to the wing. Gonna be a lot of intersquad competition in training camp for sure!

Wouldn't be surprised if they make a draft day deal for another top 4 defenceman using their 1st round pick

Also wouldn't be surprised either, ideally I'd like that to happen and Ray to go hard after Carlson. If this team can add some more quality d-man then this team will be able to do things next year

Carlson will be demanding 7x7 easily, will the devils be willing to invest that kind of term and money into a defenseman, I'm not sure but adding him with butcher or vatanen and severson would be a nice top 4

The funnel for defensemen within organization isn't that great so I'm assuming Ray would be willing too, especially since he offered Shattenkirk 6x6 this past summer.

True and shattenkirk isn't worth 6x6. Id be confident in giving Carlson that deal cause he is a better overall defenceman. If Washington loses in The first round, i wouldn't be surprised to see Carlsson rights dealt at the draft - could easily get a 1st and a 3rd for him plus a prospect which NJ has plenty of in forward department
