Description

This roster would be a good stop gap roster to bring a bunch of cap space into the next offseason. there isn't many difference makers in this years free agency class, but a lot next year.
If the young guys such as Thompson, Thomas, Dunn, Eddy, Blias, Kyrou, Barbashev and Parayko can step it up, that would be huge. Plus, if the team looks like a playoff team by the deadline, we can ship off some of our prospects and picks for a pending UFA or real difference maker.
This may not be a popular roster by fans, but I believe it is a better option than shipping away some of our top prospects and top 4 dmen for a player.

I agree if Tavares doesn't come through, we should do something similar to this while dumping some of the dead/older weight. That'll be too much money for Fabbri (I bet he gets a 1 year, 1.25 or so mill contract). Brodz will probably get more.

Agree if we dont get JT. But I think we need some more top 6 forwards. Ethier Steen and Berglund ot both needs to go. Hopefully we can add JVR or Mik Hofman and JT. Even Patrick Maroon would be nice. We need get rid of some of them killer veteran contracts.

Adding a guy like maroon would be another one of those killer veteran contracts. he played one year with Mcdavid that boosted his stat line. he has never even seen 20+ goals without him. Had a very average year last year
