He does not have much of a choice he's a RESTRICTED free agent; so yes, you could get more than a third.

What is more problematic is the amount of draft picks you've acquired. NHL teams only have a max of 50 players on an organization's roster. I do not know where you can fit all of those draft picks. In truth, it would make sense to package currently owned picks with a Namestnikov, or a Spooner and acquire a really good talent via trade.

Namestikov can fetch a 1st easy and spooner easy 2nd if we dont get offers in those ballparks keep em they are worth that and not any less and they are at a good age for us for next couple years to mentor the young ones.

namestikov isnt worth a 1st in my opinion you can get much better players with a 1st round pick

martin hanzal got a 1st, rick nash got a 1st spooner and a B- prospect im sure namestikov can fetch a 1st.

yeah and those trades were at the deadline you can always get more for a player at the deadline

Obviously, first round pick value is variable depending on actual selection. Derek Stepan was basically for 1st round #7. Namestikov, less of a track record but younger & more upside. Capable of gelling with 1st line players.
He is worth the 1st round pick plus additional picks.
Edmonton #10 plus 3rd and 4th is probably about right.
