This deal might hurt the Wild in the long run, but it would appease idiot owner Craig Leipold's desire to just tweak. This is a very big tweak! I'm a huge Zibanejad fan and have submitted several rosters where I acquire him. I honestly don't know if I would make this trade or not, but I am hoping it starts a good discussion...

    Dude, ZBad is the Rangers' 1C. As talented as KK might be, he is a winger who won't play in the NHL for 2 years at least. Hard, HARD pass from NY.

    All true, but if the Rags are truly going to rebuild...they might want to consider acquiring Kaprizov to play alongside Filip Chytil someday...

    Sure - but not for their #1 centerman. I expect NYR to trade multiple wingers this offseason as they have plenty to go around (Kreider, Zucc, Vesey, Spooner, Namestnikov) and signed 2 Euro FAs who could play in the NHL next year. Yet, aside from Buchnevich, their organization is almost completely devoid of any future top 6 wings. I doubt they laser in on KK, but it could indicate a focus of their draft/offseason strategy.

    Not trying to hijack your Kaprizov appreciation thread but I think it might be a year too early to start boarding the hype train.
