Honestly kapy for Gudas 1 for 1 I think is a solid trade

That's a reasonable Gudas trade, probably... which is why I hope the Leafs find a guy who's undervalued by his team and can be got for a package of lesser pieces. I like Gudas, but there are other options out there for a RHD upgrade (given how much room to improve there is on the Leafs).

Nylander at $6.2m for 5 seems doable, but I'd rather they go long (7), give him his fair percentage of the cap (works out to about $7m I think), and lock him in. If the extra millions makes the cap situation trickier, trading Hyman or Brown for picks and promoting a cheaper option from the Marlies would probably deliver better value over time.

From what I’ve seen from Flyer fans, Gudas isnt as good as one may think. If anything Kapanen should be package for a RHD or a high end LHD as one of their RW gotta go.

I don't think they're as deep at RW as they seem. Nylander might well be the best option at 3C, so now you're down to Marner, Kappy, Brown, and maybe Hyman, if he gets played on the side that suits him... and that's about it. There's not much to trade.

As for Gudas... the stats say he's good. to Kapanen good though, I agree.
