That’s a terrible contract for namestnikov and franzen goes on LTIR so they get the cap relief back. Doesn’t make sense for DET

You forgot the part where Detroit stated that it wants to stay in the top 10, And Detroit's not retaining on Franzen when he has a career ending concussion and Franzen is only owed $1 million per in real money over the next two years no way Detroit retains.
