I like the trade although a 2020 conditional 2nd or 1st based on pacioretty resigning would probably be better for buffalo, I dont think the 4th or 6th is even a factor when compared to pacioretty and O'Reilly.

Bettman recently said the cap will be between $79M and $80M, not $82M so signing Tavares here wouldn't work.

Edit:
Also, drafting Tkatchuk (or Zadina or Wahlstrom) would replace the loss of pacioretty moving forward.
