Description
Well what a start to the offseason for the Calgary flames. They picked up Elias Lindholm and Noah Hanfin in a steal of a deal. It’s a great start to the team. Then I think they pick up a guy like Thomas Vanek for some wing experience. Somebody better then frolik and that will be it for the forward core. The d-man core. Well they get Noah Hanifin and Goalies stay the same to. They should have a good season next year

as a Carolina fan I think you gave lindholm too much money and hanifin not enough

Lindholm closer to 3 yrs - 4.4m

Hanifin closer to 5 yrs - 5.6m

Ok I agree on more money and less. But like it was a steal. Micheal ferland it’s going to keep producing what he is. Dougie Hamilton is a good defenceman. But Calgary got a young Lindholm and a very young Noah Hanifin. Pretty big steal bud

Hanifin/Lindholm contracts are close. They probably have a combined hit of 9M.

That's an ugly number for Jankowski after a high shooting percentage year. If it came to that they may try to include him in a trade.

Rittich, Shore, Kulak, Hathaway can all be had cheaper than that. They probably sign for their RFA qualification amounts.

Comparables for Lindholm and Hanifin are here: https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/747430

Jankowski won't get more than the Bennett deal ($1.95M x 2 years). It will certainly be a 2-3 year bridge deal. Possibly followed by another 3-year bridge.

Vanek is not a fit for this forward group.
