I admire the willingness to deal, even with your arch-enemy, but it completely baffles me why in the world someone would even consider that Yanamoto for Brodie & Gillies is even remotely in the realm of a fair trade? What, because at some point in the distant past you could look at it like a 1st for a 4th & a3rd? Completely baffling. Maybe if you exclude the actual only true NHLer, Brodie and make it Yanamoto for Gillies there would be something to discuss. Potential for potential, a higher-drafted, lower worth position guy for a lower-drafted, higher worth position guy, both at or near the thresholds of the NHL. Now that would be reasonable. If you want to throw in Brodie, then throw in RNH, or perhaps Puljujarvi plus a pick?
