I am assuming this is a rental deal and Toronto wouldn’t be resigning Karlsson. Nylander won’t sign for a penny less than $6 million, maybe even as high as $7 million on a multi year deal. Don’t see the point in bringing in Tanev, when you have Andreas Johnsson. Nash for one year might be worth it, but I am not sure Nash would go for it. At 34, I am sure that he is looking for a 3 year deal or longer if he can get.

That of course if Nash still wants to play and not retire due to his concussion history. So he decides to play maybe 1 year would work. ?

Total rental deal, shake up the D a little while looking to next year with Ellis, McQuaid and Petrovic becoming UFA's. Tanev has a good +\- to balance out Nash's not so good +\- haha and also cause Nash would most likely miss 10-15 games. If Johnsson continues to improve and really looks like he's a fit Tanev can easily be a healthy scratch, or with what you said on Nylander loose the Tanev sign and add that mil to Nylander's contract.

Sounds good. I was big on both the Gardiner and Zaitsev trades. Not like a lot of the Leaf fans on this site who seem to think that Zaitsev will bounce back and become the 2nd coming of Bobby Orr, and that Gardiner is a great player with lots of upside. Gardiner is great offensively, but he single handedly lost us the Boston series. Ugh!
