Description

A few things here. Staal is for one year only. I realize I can’t win everyone over with this trade, but I think it works. Minnesota gets a younger replacement. Gardiner gets to go home. Matthews is on the 1st Penalty Kill. With Tavares here and Matthews wanting more ice time, you gotta believe that Matthews will be up to the task.

I agree with Jakem139. also signing Cody Franson is a mistake.

Both your posts are why I love this sight. So what is needed to sweeten the pot to get the Wild to say yes? Why is signing Franson a mistake. Getting Hainsey back to his natural position and giving the Leafs an extra year to groom their RD in the minors on the cheap. I personally never liked Franson the last two times he came to Toronto, but at least this time he would have some tangible worth. Cheers Boys!
