Though this is a quick fix, Bruins have contract extensions coming up for Marchand, Pastrnak, and Spooner the following year so cap space is needed.

^ true and I think they are looking to Subban to make that step next year to the back up position but yeah marchand and pastrnak need to be signed and spooner to a lesser extent
