Description
I've made three trades to improve this team both short and long term.
Beleskey isn't given in the starting lineup, but his contract is better to have then Callahans. Volkov could be a really good center but is there room for him in the Bolts lineup? Not really, he's used to get Rangers to take back Callahans extra 3,4m. Might be paying to much but the relationship between these organisations are great.

The Minnesota trade don't say "I don't want EK65!!", it says "I don't believe they'll get it done." Honestly I believe Myers would be a good fit but can't really get a trade done and feel both team benefits. Spurgeon is a really good offensive D, smallish but next to McDonaugh or Sergachev he won't need to be big. What does the Wild get?
Killorn can play every position and considering the status and age of some players they could really need Killorn. They can handle the term and give Eriksson Ek and Greenway time to develope further. Koekkoek OR Dotchin is a part of this trade, depending what the team needs. I also inserted a second round pick (about pick 55-62) . Spurgeon also has an other year left on his current deal.

Trade with Pens.
I didn't want to make an other trade but a spot opened up when Killorn left and the BPA that becomes a UFA in 2019 and is sort of possible to trade for was Hagelin.
Pittsburgh need to shed salary so I might overpay again, but pens fans will argue that I underpay. That must make it fair. A late second and a late fourth for taking on 4m for the upcoming year.

I also signed Mason for a year, I don't think he'll make that big of a difference but I'm not sold on Domingue as a backup so he and Mason have to fight for it.

Who'd you put in that spot?
My thoughts are: One year, affordable atm, cheap to aquire, two time cup winner, speed and more speed.
I'm not comfortable with Andreoff on the third line for the entire season.

I see what you're saying, TR looks like a great prospect. But that would make the line even more unstable as we don't know if Gourde and Cirelli can follow up their good seasons in 17/18. Maybe Cirelli has a bad camp and TR is great. That could allow the third line to be Hagelin - Gourde - TR.
I'd still want Hagelin on that line for insurance.
