interesting trades,, boat load for basically nj 1st. no chance ducks giving away Comtois

Thanks. I know it's overpaying but I just wanted to make it irresistible to NJ. McLeod and the first for a re-signed Pacioretty seems fair. I like Mueller and, if the idea is to tank for 1-2 years, Petry doesn't help the Habs. Maybe he'd be worth more in another trade, but if he helps get a good return for Pacioretty, then it's worth it.

If the Ducks are going to contend in the next year and/or next, they need to get faster and better secondary scoring. Byron is a great fit. Lernout is a good prospect, reminds me of Pateryn. McCarron won't emerge in Montreal but could ... could ... could learn from Getzlaf.

Little sign of that. Never understood how Comtois fell so far in the draft, but he's still not in the THN top 100 and he's the #5 prospect on the Ducks. Anyway, not married to Comtois. I'd be fine with Jones, Mahura or a future pick.
