Description
I saw the Matthews to Arizona one and decided to this just to see the financial feasibility. I gave Nico a Tavares 2nd contract like deal off the ELC and did it for five years, taking him to age 26, where he gets the megadeal a year before he hits UFA. Money may be off on a couple of guys, but I got a 22 man roster under the cap while not even using the potential buyout of Zajac's final year, which would create another 3.83 mil in space.

Move out Schneider for cap relief, you don't have space for injuries:

PHI: Schneider, Zacha
NYJ: Neuvirth, Konecny

Just a thought.

I don't know if the Flyers would do that. Plus, Zajac would be in his last year. A buyout would save 3,833,333. He would have a dead cap hit of 1,916,667 the following year, but I think Cammalleri's would come off, so the net add would be 250K.

No, I see that Zacha is in your trade, but the Flyers probably won't move Konecny. But Zajac is in the final year of a 5.75 mil contract, and therefore a buyout wouldn't hurt too badly.

I see what you're saying now. I think they do it because the big thing they are missing is a solid number 1. But a buyout seems to be the better option.
