Sabres fans have to be happy with this.

Kid gets a nice raise and a chance to prove himself next year. He'll have arbitration rights at year's end and a chance to cash in for a decent chunk of change if he can keep his clip from March up.

On the other hand, we're not paying long term for the results of one month of excellent play. Great flexibility.
